Monday Night: ventured out with a few folks from the hostel (Owen, Luke, & Anna) to get some dinner and wander around Patpong (Red Light District), met up with Matt & Pat at the first bar of the evening. Went to my first Thai sex show, complete with ping pong balls and razor blades. Continued to get blind wasted at a bar/club with a great cover band. Passed out at the hostel around 4am.

Tuesday: Woke up at 9am with the Worst Hangover of 2008. Went to Thantakit Dental Center for a consultation with Potential Dental Surgeon #2. Liked him, booked it. Barely survived the Worst Cab Ride ever before stumbling back into the hostel to nurse myself back to health throughout the rest of the day. That evening felt just good enough to for an "easy night out" with Hold-On-I-Brought-More-Dudes & Danielle. Gulliver's at Khao San, then walked the strip. Got everyone to try a deep fried cricket. Went to Spicy, the shadiest after-hours club on earth, complete with a 2-1 hooker ratio. Drinking and dancing continues. Get back to Lub D at 5am, only to discover D.'s wallet is gone. Immediate stress. Head back to Spicy, no wallet there. Contents of wallet: debit card, credit card, a lot of cash, & hostel key. Panic attacks, phone calls, and hours later we retreat to sleep at 7:30am Hold-On-I-Brought-More-Dudes on Khaosan Road
Wednesday: Awake at 10am. Hungover. Stress, phone calls and panic attacks continue. D.'s so sick I don't know what to do. While she rests, I venture out to MBK with Matt & Pat, my two new Reasons to Love The British. In complete zombie mode from so little sleep. Return to hostel, check on D. Things are progressing, slowing but surely. PS WaMu sucks ass for international mishaps. Head out with our Lub D Hold-On-I-Brought-More-British-People crew for a mellow, I repeat, mellow night out at a hooka bar. Strawberry hooka = win. Return to hostel, wide awake. Running on 2.5 hours of sleep still. Stay up to deal with The Wallet Debaucle. Finally, success! 24 hours later! Lay around watching Knocked Up with the homies. Still wide awake when it's over at 4am. Attempt to sleep.
Today: Wake up at 7:30am. Prepare to move rooms for a few nights. Conversation and laughs over breakfast in the lobby. Set off for D.'s surgery.Tuesday: Woke up at 9am with the Worst Hangover of 2008. Went to Thantakit Dental Center for a consultation with Potential Dental Surgeon #2. Liked him, booked it. I'm currently writing this from the Thantakit Dental office as D. sits in a chair getting metal screwed into her jaw. They have a complimentary computer with hi-speed net access for customers. Hurrah!
I am so so so tired and completely awake at the same time. It's been an exhausting past first-half of the week. A lot of ups, a lot of downs. We're hoping with the surgery over with today, it'll be ups from here on out. We haven't had a chance to explore any of Bangkok yet and we're very eager to....although this afternoon we might attempt to get a proper sleep in since we're both operating on something like 15 hours of sleep total in the past 4 days.
