My mom likes to forward me about a hundred ridiculous emails a day. Most of which are stupid jokes or motivational quotes. I generally erase most of them before even opening them, but today I randomly opened one that turned out to be a chain letter dedicated to National Girlfriends Day (which apparently, that's what today is so if you've got female friends, give them a hug) and amongst the flashing, brightly colored crap that littered the body of the message was a quote that stuck out:
"Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Love the ones who don't just because you can. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Kiss slowly. Forgive quickly. God never said life would be easy. He just promised it would be worth it."
All words I've heard before in one way or another. All things that are easier said than done, but all true nonetheless.
