Back in late 2006 my 60GB iPod Classic crashed. About half of it were CDs that I had spent hours importing into my iTunes (some of which I'd since deleted to make space on my teeny tiny 40GB hard drive). The other half was music I had gotten by other means, either bought off iTunes or acquired from various friends over the year I'd had it. Gone. All of it. Even now There is probably at least 10GB of music that has just disappeared as I know it because who really knows every album by every artist in their iPod? But now I'll NEVER know.
I had a panic attack this morning due to a spontaneous fear that my laptop was going to crash at any moment...taking all my photos and music to the great beyond with it. So I ran out after work and bought this beauty:
500GB of external hard drive loveliness. I will now spend the rest of my night backing up all my files like a crazed maniac...and loving every second.
