Our first official day in Bangkok is coming to an end and I am completely exhausted because we: went to D.'s first dental appointment (which was a success), ate an amazing lunch at my favorite spot MK Restaurant, navigated our way through the mazes of Siam Square, swam through the crowds at MBK and walked for what seemed like miles and miles in sunny hotness...all on three hours of sleep and fighting (er, losing really...) a battle against jet lag.
Decompression was in the form of an hour long foot-head-shoulder massage combo (for me) and a full body traditional Thai massage (for D.). Oh, and it cost us 7 US$ each.
Currently, I'm abusing the free internet at Lub D Hostel yet again as it is pouring rain. I love it though. You just don't get weather like this in San Francisco. There is something extremely soothing about abusive weather.
